The 2019 hunting season is approaching. And nothing gets us excited like seeing the first trail cam photos of the year! Already, we’ve captured some great bucks on camera. What’s more, the age structure of our deer is perhaps the best it has ever been.
They still have some growing yet to do, but have a look at a few early trail cam photos.

Update on Summer Conditions
We’ve received record rainfall so far this year. Our food plots and farms are in outstanding condition. The above-average moisture is also contributing to antler growth in a serious way. Combine those factors with an excellent age class of bucks, and you’ve got a recipe for an unforgettable deer hunting season.
The age class of bucks this year in the Pike County area is certainly worth mentioning. While many parts of the country have struggled with EHD or bluetongue, our area is fortunate to be completely EHD free for more than six years. The number of mature whitetail bucks on our farms is the best we’ve seen in years.
