Our advice for booking a hunt is to do so as soon as your schedule permits. Planning ahead gives you the best opportunity to hunt when you wish. The prime rut period tends to be most popular, and scheduling can often be difficult if you wait to arrange your hunt. Although hunts are structured well in advance to make the season schedule efficient, we will also do our best to work with special circumstances whenever possible. For example, if you only have 5 days available for a period that normally is slated for a 6-day hunt, we may be able to accommodate that, especially during early season sessions. Our payment policy calls for a deposit of one third of your hunt price at the time of booking, one third June 1st and the final third when you check in for your hunt.

Once you have scheduled your hunt and confirmed the booking with a deposit, Hadley Creek Outfitters will send you a receipt for the deposit and a schedule confirmation. If you're flying, we'll be happy to pick you up at the Quincy, Illinois airport for no additional fee. If flying into the St. Louis airport, you may wish to arrange a shuttle service. St. Louis is about a 2-hour drive from Hadley Creek Outfitters. Hunting licenses and permit are available through the Illinois DNR. A word about deposits... A hunting deposit is designed to do two things. For the hunter, it guarantees he has a spot reserved that will be available on the specific hunt, dates and terms that he's agreed to in advance with the outfitter. For the outfitter, it guarantees that he'll have a hunter filling that spot at those same terms thus allowing him to fulfill his financial obligations throughout the year.

Hadley Creek, like the majority of professional outfitters, relies on hunting deposits and hunting payments to help fund the substantial cash flow required to sustain a full-time operation, especially one our size. The vast majority of cash outlay for food plots, lease payments, farm equipment, employees and related expenses occur prior to hunting season.

If you are unable to make your hunt, and notify us prior to June 1st, you may either move to another year and carry over the deposit or receive a refund less $500. Refunds will be mailed within ninety days of cancellation. Refunds will not be issued for hunts cancelled after June 1st.
